Publication requirements

Crisia journal aims to publish studies and articles that capitalize on research results in the fields of archaeolgy, history, auxiliary sciences to history, museology (history) and museography.

Copyright and license:

The authors agree that Crisia journal has the right of first publication of the submitted article. The authors have the right to publish the article on their personal website or on other websites, referring to the first publication. The authors retain the copyright on the articles, without restrictions. The authors assume responsibility for the content of the published articles and no changes to the content will be accepted after their publication.

Crisia journal uses the CC BY-NC-ND license of Creative Commons.

Both the authors and the editors of Crisia will comply with the COPE Guide on the ethics of scientific research and publication.

Submission of texts:

Studies, articles, notes and reviews are submitted to the editorial office in electronic format, preferably, but not necessarily, in English. Works are also accepted in the following languages: Romanian, French, Italian and German. The delivery e-mail address is crisia@mtariicrisurilor.ro

Publication schedule:

– the deadline for submitting articles and reviews for the current issue is July 1

– the peer-review process takes place during the autumn of the current year, within a maximum of 90 days

– the publication period for the current year’s issue is: the end of the current year for the online version and the first quarter of the following year for the printed version

Structure of proposed scientific publications:

Submitted articles must contain the following: the title of the article, in English (for articles in English) or in the language of the article text (Romanian, French, Italian, German) and English; abstract in English; at least five keywords in English; the text itself; footnotes or in-text notes (for archaeological works); explanations of illustrations (if any).

The page will be A4 size.

The title will be written in capital letters, aligned to the center.

Author/Authors: aligned to the right, last name written in capital letters. If there are more than one author, their names are separated by a comma and after each author’s name, an explanatory note indicated by an asterisk is inserted, which will contain the institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s), their e-mail adress(es) and ORCID code(s) (if it exists).

Abstract title: written in capital letters and aligned to the center.

Abstract: aligned to both edges (justify).

Keywords: aligned to both edges (justify).

Article text: aligned to both edges (justify).

List of illustrations: aligned to both edges.

Illustrations will be sent in .jpeg or .tiff format at a resolution of 300 dpi and will be noted as figures (Fig. 1, 2…). Illustrations will be published in grayscale or color. The use of manipulated, modified, edited images in a way that would alter them, decrease their relevance and quality, or generated with the help of artificial intelligence will be avoided as much as possible. If the author includes images processed with AI, he will mention this in the related explanatory label.
